....so I'm ambivalent about jumping on such a trendy, overexposed bandwagon. But the WhoWhatWear daily email sent me over the edge
I WANT LAVENDER HAIR SO BADLY! It's such a beautifully soft, unexpected color. The last time I Manic Panic-ed my hair was 5 or 6 years ago. I had a hot pink streak that peaked out of from my temple, a lil peek-a-boo strip. But now I want a substantial amount of lilac in my hair. I'm so jealous of blondies, they have it so much easier when it comes to pastel shades.
Like this hot bitch
GAGA LovelyLocks and the Pixietails
and this one
Kelly Osbourne looks freaking fantastic, bravo grrl
and of course princess proenza icy glare who started the ball rolling
I love it ALL
I'm thinking some bleach and either Manic Panic 'Lie Locks' or 'Mystic Heather' is in my near future.

Another package of the day! I ordered from HauteLook for the first time when they had Kevyn Aucoin's cosmetics on sale. The products were such a STEAL! Like lipsticks for $7 marked down from $27. I had to restrain myself and only purchase 4 products...I feel like I've been hemorrhaging money lately :(
So I received
Liquid Patent Lipgloss in Nyalia
Liquid Fountain Pen in Lilette
Liquid Lipstick in Ondine
Lip Tint in Tatjanaberry
I'm pretty pleasantly surprised. It's sometimes a gamble ordering unfamiliar makeup online but the colors are quite nice. I was bummed because "Ondine" (btw, the color names are so funky! maybe they're named after certain people) looked very similar to Beaute's Masochist which I just bought, but Ondine is more of a true cherry red while Masochist is a deeper retro red. Both are lovely. I'm excited about Nyalia, it's a very nice creamy rose. I don't have a lip color like it so I'm quite satisfied. Tatjanaberry is a little disappointing, it's a little too brown, not as nude as I had wanted. Maybe it'll look better when my skin is more tan.
I'm so happy to finally own a few Aucoin products. Kevyn Aucoin was the first makeup artist I loved. I remember scouring ebay for his first book "The Art of Makeup" years ago, luckily I found a decent copy! His books are so beautiful and I could just tell he was a kind, gentle man. His death was a huge loss for the beauty and fashion industry.

I'm a notorious online shopper. I find it very relaxing, much more so than real life shopping. My favorite is shopping for makeup! I still get excited when the package arrives. So to celebrate this semi-frequent event I'm doing a "package of the day" post.
Today I received MAC's Gaga Viva Glam lipstick!!
and a Paint Pot in Blackground
I can't wait to play! I'm a huge fan of MAC's free shipping promos, they have a new promo practically everyday. Keep up the good work MAC! And I'm so glad I got the Gaga lipstick before it sold out...that would have been a dark day indeed.
Can we even talk about the possibility that Gaga may headline for Lollapalooza?? I. may. faint. (if it's true of course)
I'll end with Alphabeat's genius cover of Telephone/Bad Romance

I'm probably years away from my ideal living situation...
but when that day comes, I'm going to create the perfect vanity, for all things beauty. My grandmother's antique vanity will probably come into play, even though this means I will have to move it out of my parent's house and I'm not exactly ready to go THERE
But when this finally happens, I'd like to have these pictures lining the walls. I found this great website with high quality scans and I literally spent half my night going through all the great pictures.
They're great inspiration and will never go out of style.
oh AND I wanna be wearing Audrey's sparkly silver shadow like now
